OTE Pre-Professional Program
Training Artists, Not Just DanceRS
Founded in 2011 by Creative Directors Kim Borgaro and Robert Gilliam, OTE's training program and dance company nurtures young dancers in an artistic environment — encouraging them to tap into their inner artists and embrace creative expression through dance.
OTE Pre-Professional Program is a non-competitive training program consisting of technical and expressive classwork, a concert-based repertory, student choreography for individual artistic expression, fully designed dance performances, and community-based performances.
OTE provides dancers with high-quality, student-centered training and the opportunity to participate in creating, producing, and performing works with the highest level of professionalism and artistic integrity. OTE bridges the gap between concert and commercial dance with a strong emphasis on the foundations of Ballet, Horton Technique, Contemporary, and Jazz.
OTE serves as excellent preparation for university dance programs and a professional career in dance performance.

OTE COMPANY PerformancES
OTE Performance Company hosts two annual company dance concerts, performs in the studio's Annual Spring Recital,
and takes the stage at local and regional festivals throughout the year.
Annual Holiday Concert
Solos, duos, and trios created, choreographed, and performed exclusively by company dancers, alongside group pieces choreographed by company directors Kim Borgaro and Robert Gilliam and special guests.
COMPANY Spring Concert
Martha B. Knoebel Dance Theater — Cal State Long Beach
Company repertoire pieces and new works choreographed by directors Kim Borgaro and Robert Gilliam, plus selected student choreography alongside guest choreographers and artists.
Annual Studio Spring Recital
OTE Performance Companies join the full studio for its Annual Spring Recital, closing out the season on stage together.
Festivals & Community Performances
OTE Performance Companies also participate in local and regional festivals and community events throughout the year.
