The theater entrance is at the main school entrance. There is street parking available, as well as a parking lot across the street. We are currently confirming whether any of the school lots will be available.
DANCER COSTUME PICK-UP DATES
We will be distributing costumes on the following costume pick-up dates ONLY. All costumes will be handed out by Erin and all items will be verified during pick-up!

PLEASE NOTE: COSTUMES WILL NOT BE HANDED OUT DURING REGULAR CLASS TIMES!
All dancers will be responsible for their costumes and accessories. If you LOSE or misplace an item we will not be able to get a new costume! We encourage dancers in multiple pieces to wear a flesh tone undergarment leotard or flesh tone undergarments. Please be sure to label all dancers costumes and accessories. We recommend that you write the dancer's name on the inside tag of the garment (don't do this for any white or costumes that the tag can be seen).
IMPORTANT: Dancers will not receive their costumes until the invoice is paid in full.

SHOW 2 COSTUMES
Below are some general class shoe requirements for classes
BALLET (AGES 3-4, 5-7, 8-11 & 12-17): Clean/New Pink Ballet shoes. Preferred a split sole, canvas shoe. www.discountdance.com
CONTEMPORARY (AGES 8-11, 12-17): Clean/new flesh tone half sole modern shoe. NO colors!
LYRICAL (AGES 8-11, 12-17): Clean/new flesh tone half sole modern shoe. NO colors or designs
JAZZ (AGES 5-7, 8-11 & 12-17): Clean/New tan or black Jazz shoes. We will have more specific shoe colors for each class depending on the costume choices. We will advise each class/dancer as soon as the teacher selects a costume.
HIP-HOP (AGES 5-7, 8-11 & 12-17): Clean/New black or white sneakers. We will have more specific shoe colors for each class depending on the costume choices. We will advise each class/dancer as soon as the teacher selects a costume.
ACRO4DANCE (ages 5-9, 7-12): No shoes.
Below please find the general hair and make-up for all dancers participating in the recital (unless specified by the teacher). We will specify the hair style and hair accessory placement for each class on the costume page.
Stage Make-Up: Foundation (matching skin tone), powder, blush, neutral tone smokey eyes, eye liner, mascara, shaded eyebrows and lipstick (Red is preferred however, some dancers may wear lip colors per the teacher's request).
Hair: Most of the classes will have their hair in a tight low bun (ballet), low tight ponytail, high ponytail or hair down. Be sure to have the front of the hair slicked back with hairspray or gel.

We are working on the show rundown, however dancers will be dismissed after their run through if they only have one dance in the show. If a dancer has multiple dances they will need to stay for the duration of the rehearsal.

ADDITIONAL DRESS REHEARSAL INFORMATION
FULL DRESS REHEARSAL
All dancers MUST arrive stage ready, costume and hair and make-up. For dancers with multiple dances please come in your first costume and bring all of your other costumes and accessories. The objective of the dress rehearsal is for staging and lighting and is not the time for dancers to learn choreography but for the dancers to work on spacing, entrances and exits. We will have the show rundown confirmed within the next week and will share it with all dancers and parents.
* We will be running the pieces in the SHOW ORDER! We know that there will be some TIGHT costume changes and this is the time for dancers to know when they are needed on stage!
*During the dress rehearsal, dancers will be seated in the theater in class order.
* For dancers in multiple classes they will be assigned a dress room.
PARENTS/FRIENDS/FAMILY
Parents, family and guests are not permitted in the theater or backstage during the dress rehearsal. It's important that everyone respect these boundaries for the management and safety of all children. There is plenty of space outside of the theater that parents can wait until your dancer is finished.
* Please note: Parents of our youngest dancers (ages 3-6) will be able to stay with their dancer in a designated area for both the dress rehearsal and the show (as needed).
DANCER DRESSING ROOMS & HOLDING AREAS
We will be assigning the dancers their dressing room and holding areas during the dress rehearsal. Dancers will be required to use their assigned dressing room on show day.
SNACKS & DRINKS
We ask that all dancers eat before attending the dress rehearsal. We will have a tight schedule and will need all dancers prepared and ready to go. Dancers are welcome to bring water but please be mindful if you bring food or drinks. NO FOOD OR DRINKS will be permitted inside the theater.
RECITAL TICKETS
Individual tickets to the recital tickets on ON-SALE NOW. All attendees will need a ticket to the show, including children over the age of 3.

MANDATORY CLASS ATTENDANCE
We are now just three weeks away from the show, and it's crucial that all dancers attend their classes to work on the choreography with their classmates. When one dancer misses class, it can significantly impact the rehearsals before showtime. If you need to miss a class, please talk with your teacher and/or classmates about getting a video of the class to practice at home.
STUDIO CLOSED: MEMORIAL DAY, MAY 27
The studio will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 27th. However, all classes will proceed as usual this week and over the weekend (Saturday, May 25th, and Sunday, May 26th).
Monday classes, we only HAVE 1 MORE CLASS before the show on JUNE 3rd!!

DANCER DROP-OFF
All dancers will be checked in at the front entrance and they will be taken backstage by an OTE staff or volunteer.
All dancers (except for the 3-4 year olds) will remain backstage for the entire show.
Under no circumstances will we allow any dancers to leave the backstage area before the end of the show. Should there be any scheduling conflicts with dancers that need to leave early, this will need to be discussed with Erin BEFORE the show. . This is a safety policy to protect all of our dancers and staff.
We will be doing a curtain call at the end of each show bringing out all of the dancers for a final bow and teacher recognition!
BACKSTAGE
NO parents, siblings, family members or friends will be permitted backstage. Only OTE owners, staff, teachers and volunteers will have access to the backstage area.
DANCER SNACKS AND DRINKS:
Dancers are welcome to bring their own drinks and light snacks. Please NOTE we REALLY discourage dancers from eating and drinking in their costumes. Please try to only bring water and snacks that will not cause any stains on the costume. The dancers should also bring some extra clothing to put on before the show and during their down time.
We will have some small water bottles available for the dancers throughout the show!
FOR PARENTS, FRIEND AND GUESTS ATTENDING THE SHOW:
We are thrilled to welcome everyone to our studio’s 10th Anniversary shows! We cannot express our gratitude enough to all of you. This is our largest and, we believe, our best performances to date!
We are thrilled to will be offering a variety of items for purchase at the shows including:
FLOWER BOUQUETS
We will be selling a selection of flower bouquets at the show. Next week we will be sending out a pre-order form for parents that would like to purchase in advance and pick-up before the show!
CONCESSIONS:
We will be selling water, drinks and light snacks (chips, candy) before, after and during intermission.
SANDWICH COMBOS:
For those staying for BOTH shows we will be selling a special light lunch/dinner that will include a sandwich/wrap with chips and a drink. Pricing TBD, as we will have more info on this over the next week or so.
PHOTO AREA:
We will have a step & repeat set-up to take pictures of and with your dancers!

We will need some extra volunteers this year! If you have any children that need some volunteer hours and would like to help out we would love to have them!
